ANDOR: Could Denise Gough's Dedra Meero Actually Be [SPOILER] In The STAR WARS TV Series?

The latest episode of Andor introduced a key character in Denise Gough's Dedra Meero, but is there more to her than meets the eye? We have a theory for you, and you can check it out after the jump...

Andor kicked off by revealing that Cassian Andor is searching for his sister, Kerri. It appears he hasn't seen her since their childhood, with flashbacks later revealing that he was taken from their home by Maarva Andor. While we anticipate learning more about that over the coming weeks, we're guessing by the time he returned, his sister - and that tribe of kids - was gone.

The planet, Kenari, was left ravaged by an Imperial mining disaster and the prevailing theory is that the children were left to fend for themselves, as a result.

While time will tell on that front, we do have a compelling theory to share with you today. In the latest episode of Andor, we meet Imperial Security Bureau officer Dedra Meero. While the stage is seemingly being set for her to chase Cassian down as an antagonist, what if she's an adult Kerri?

Dedra seems to have risen up the ranks from nothing and quickly takes a vested interest in tracking Andor. While she's clearly looking to secure another promotion, what if she's also on the lookout for her missing brother? Kerri more than likely grew up believing he had abandoned her, and that may have led to her hating Kassa.

Assuming she then fell into the hands of the Empire, joining their cause may have seemed like the best way to move on from her past, with this latest assignment providing a chance to take revenge on the brother that left her behind.

Alternatively, she may well be little more than an Imperial villain who eventually takes the disgraced Syril under her wing, though we have to believe the hunt for his sister will be a key part of Cassian's story. Making her a character we've already met would be a neat twist, and giving the Rebel a sibling who believes in the Empire's vision...well, that would be quite something.
