The long-rumored LEGO Star Trek collaboration has finally been announced. The LEGO Group released the first teaser for the highly anticipated new line of LEGO Star Trek builds, giving us our first look at one of the franchise's most prominent characters in brick form.
Details are still light at the moment, but the teaser video begins with a view of the transporter with someone beaming in. The camera pans a bit before zooming in on the Captain Picard minifigure.
The video ends with the Klingon phrase "TUGH PAW," which translates to Coming Soon.
"Set phasers to build," the video's accompanying text teases. "Coming soon!"
At this point, it's unclear if this collaboration will result in multiple sets based on Star Trek or just one single build for now. However, the video does strongly suggest that we'll be getting at least one set based on The Next Generation.
This is in line with previous rumors and leaks of a LEGO Star Trek set based on the U.S.S. Enterprise D. Rumors have suggest that the build of this iconic starship will consist of approximately 3,600 pieces. This isn't necessarily one of the largest LEGO sets, but it does suggest that it's a pretty substantial build.
Leaked images of the rumored Enterprise D set have revealed a model that mirrors the show's iconic design, including the saucer section that can detach from the engineering hull. Other details include phaser strips, transporter emitters, and sensor bands. The leaks have also suggested the ship will come with minifigures of the beloved Enterprise crew, including: Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Lt. Commander Data (with his cat Spot), Lt. Worf, Geordi La Forge, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Counselor Troi, Wesley Crusher, and Guinan.
Reports estimate that this set will launch on Black Friday, November 28, 2025, for around $399.99. There have also been suggestions that the Enterprise D set could come with an exclusive Type-15 Shuttlepod and a minifigure of Ensign Ro Laren as a limited-time Gift-With-Purchase for early buyers.
We don't know when LEGO will formally unveil the Star Trek collaboration, or how expansive this collaboration will be. The fact that the teaser says its coming soon would at least suggest there's some truth to the rumor that it's launching this year. That hopefully also means we won't have to wait too long for more details. It's crazy to think that it's taken this long to get an official LEGO Star Trek collaboration, especially given that it's one of the most impactful and influential sci-fi franchises ever. We'll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more about this highly anticipated collaboration.
