AHSOKA Star Ariana Greenblatt Teases Live-Action CLONE WARS Following Conversation With Hayden Christensen

After playing Ahsoka Tano in episode five of Ahsoka, Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie) has confirmed she's spoken to Hayden Christensen about their desire to continue revisiting The Clone Wars in live-action.

In the fifth episode of Ahsoka, we followed the title character to the World Between Worlds (and/or the afterlife) where she was reunited with her old Master, Anakin Skywalker. The Jedi-turned-Sith had one final lesson to impart, sending Ahsoka Tano back to the land of the living with a newfound purpose.

During their reunion, a highlight came when we finally got to see a live-action take on The Clone Wars. Avengers: Infinity War and Barbie star Ariana Greenblatt stepped in to play the young Ahsoka, while Hayden Christensen finally donned his animated counterpart's iconic armour.

Needless to say, fans have since been extremely vocal in making their desire for a live-action series set during that period to now be made and, honestly, it's hard to understand why Lucasfilm wouldn't do exactly that.

If it were an anthology series, the studio could tell new stories from that period and potentially even adapt a number of key animated sequences such as the young Ahsoka's battle with Maul. Whether it will ever happen is hard to say, though Greenblatt teased the possibility during a recent exchange with a fan on Twitter/X.

"After watching [Ahsoka,] I need Hayden Christensen and Ariana Greenblatt to get their own Clone Wars [live-action] series," they shared. "My [God], the chemistry was just beautiful and heartbreaking." To that, the actress said, "Thanks so much for the kind words, we laughed and talked about that tonight."

So, they're talking about it at least! Greenblatt even went on to say "[Hayden is] my skyguy," a reference to Anakin's nickname in The Clone Wars

A live-action take on the series would likely be very expensive, so we're not going to hold our breath even if Christensen and Greenblatt are keen to reunite on screen. It's worth noting that dialogue from Ahsoka's trailers has suggested we're getting at least one more flashback, but it's possible that was taken from a deleted scene.

If this is it, though, then we really can't complain. Dave Filoni got to translate a series he spent years of his life working on into live-action and fans were fortunate enough to see two characters share the screen in a way they could have never imagined before Disney+ launched in 2019.
